Last night's meeting for me was a fantastic
event. We started at 9:04 p.m. EST and did not finish until 10:40.
LONG meeting but well worth the time.
In attendance:
Azboklin
Minx
Trelander
Whitehawk (aka Redbeard)
Esen Rye
Urik
Krynn
Baba
Mara
and special guest Kalamar Silver.
We discussed the events of the past two
days and my rededication to the squad. Each members spoke a bit about
what they felt needed to be addressed within the squad and the guild. It
was very informative and a lot of important information was garnered.
Squad items discussed:
Trelander emphasized the importance of
promoting that we indeed have the best PvP'ers in GoL . The
suggestion of a similar uniform was suggested as was similar mounts.
Some of the members who've been with UO for a long enough time mentioned that
the Ethereal mounts were best. Finally we settled upon trying to
increase our fellowship with one another and to hunt and gather more regularly
when we see squad members online.
Minx mentioned the vendor sales and their
diminishing returns. A rune dropping campaign was discussed and will
soon be implemented where someone will mark a number of runes and place them
in sacks. Each week a squad will venture out and deliver these runes to
cities around Britannia to promote our vendor locale. Offering gates and
or directions will be available as well. This will also be brought to
the leader board for other Marshals to consider for their squad as the vendors
in the south tower are not all EGoJ.
It was also mentioned that the guild as a
whole has a feeling of apathy and that we need to fire things up within our
ranks to make it a more exciting thing to be GoL. (That is what I got,
correct me if I'm wrong). Kalamar had mentioned the Corp vs Corp last
week and I'd like to see EGoJ push for it as we've always done well in them.
With our current PvP'ers both expert and up-and-coming we should be a force to
be reckoned with.
It was also made known that we should be
participating in more guild events as well such as sparring night, mining
night, etc... Fight night was specifically mentioned and a point driven
home. You don't need to be an experience PvP'er to fight in fight night.
If you lose you still learn and that's still important. So if you're
available go ahead and give it a shot.
Something new I suggested to the squad last
night was that each week at the beginning of our meeting we should talk about
our week. We spoke of what we learned, collected, fought and where we
traveled to. This exchange was invaluable as it taught us more about our
squadmates and how they tick. I would like for us to continue this as
getting to know and trust your squadmates is of paramount importance.
It's early in the morning so I may have
missed some things so if I did please add them at your leisure. Thank
you all for attending last night and for those who missed it we'll hope to see
you next week (and between now and then many times as well.)
Peace.
