Thank you for all who attend: Mara, Urik, Redbeard, and
myself:) Krynn
(Mara's recruit) managed to get power back at his house just as the meeting
ended:P
Welcome Mara as a full member of EGoJ! Your hard work and great attitude has
shown leadership that you are the kind of person we need in GoL!
Mara has a new recruit Krynn, so if you see him around, please make him feel
welcome. He is really excited about being in GoL. I have notified Sarrin as
has Mara about getting an interview for Krynn.
We talked about moving our vendors. Urik brought up the point that his
vendor at the tower would be selling exactly the same thing (keg potions) as
the squad vendor if he moved his vendor. Redbeard mentioned moving the
vendors would be a good idea. We seem to be split here on what to do. For
now, everything can stay until we get more input.
Urik also said he would restock his vendor. It earns approximately 25k a
week.
My vendor earned 27k over the last two weeks. Sales on my vendor have
dwindled since we stopped dropping runes.
Is the armor vendor Phineas'? If so we are about to lose that vendor and we
recently lost Paityn's leather armor vendor.
We briefly discussed attendance at our meetings and our turnouts are
bothering me more than I will admit until now. Now I know real life comes
first but let me tell a story. I remember our small tower where we had our
meetings at the top on benches. I remember Krakin sitting on the lawn behind
the tower on his green stool during out squad meeting and Urik later
stealing that stool (LOL). I remember moving in to our squad cabin from our
small tower. I remember the looters who stole Paityn's chest of armor. I
remember dragging a gargoyle to the looter who couldn't move (now bannable).
Heck, I think Mara killed that Gargoyle before she was a member:) I remember
seeing our new squad table for the first time and thinking, holy cow we will
never fill it with squad mates. I remember when the entire table was full of
emeralds and my jaw hung slack. Our squad not only attended our meetings,
but was the largest group on each and every hunt that went out from the
guild. I remember squad pictures with nearly 10 squaddies in front of our
new cabin. We were the first to show up for a hunt, and the last to leave a
hunt. We were the ones at the recruit meetings that Olson holds (yay we had
3 last night there!), and the ones on the recruit hunts. We had on average 5
squad members on every hunt and had the largest representation at every
guild meeting. When we lined up behind Lisa at the guild meetings, we had to
split into two rows! The absence of people like Magnar, Abe, and Paityn have
had a noticeable impact. Az and Baba couldn't make this meeting. Paityn has
left GoL, and Magnar is apparently busy. Issy has left our squad to be
Marshal of GWoJ. Pancho used to showed up all the time as our honorary
squaddie. Phineas is leaving for DAoC. Lisa has had changes in real life,
but what has happened to Abe? And now my recruit Mrs. Scribble has
apparently gone AWOL. I haven't seen Princess Aurora in forever. So many
people are now gone. Just look back at the last several sentences and count
how many we have lost recently for one reason or another. I think you will
come up with more than you knew were in the squad. This is affecting me more
than I even realized. I want us back to the glory days of yestermonth when
the active emeralds couldn't be counted on one hand. I miss Magnar's
<<EMERALDS>> macro that he would hit dozens of times during a hunt.
My pride
in our squad would soar at so many squadmates running to the call and the
rest of the guild had to stop and wait for half the guild hunt (the
emeralds) to catch up. I remember fighting back to back with our squadmates
at cove orc fort, piling dozens of ettins and orcs around our feet. I'm not
blaming anyone who cannot be active right now but I would encourage all of
us to find a recruit to sponsor. There are plenty to go around, and we
really need to boost our active ranks. I will help any recruit you choose to
sponsor even if you can't spend much time with them yourself. I'll even
scout out a recruit for you if you like:) I have been spending time with
Krynn many nights until he found a sponsor in Mara and I still helped him
last night before the squad meeting. As you can see this low attendance is a
real sore spot with me. Don't make me take everyone outside and beat them!
We have most of the best pvpers in the guild in our squad (another thing I'm
proud of)...so it's not a task I could easily accomplish! If we become more
active in our squad, our recruits will be more likely to make full
membership. Enough of that.
We decided not to do a hunt for a couple of reasons. Some of us were tired
and we only had 4 at the meeting.
Lastly, are we moving the meetings back to Wednesday? We have had the last
three on Wednesdays now.
